God is bigger.

"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you,

for my power is made perfect in weakness.'”

2 Corinthians 12:9

As I stared at the piles of papers spread around my dining room and

living room I could feel tension rising in me. Surrounded by what

looked like insurmountable piles of bills and bookkeeping, I was feeling

completely overwhelmed!

There were farm spreadsheets to create, crop insurance decisions to

make, household and medical bills to pay, tuition expenses for the kids,

vehicle recalls and other random administrative tasks. As I began

pushing paper into larger piles so I had a spot at the dining room table, I

saw it. Hidden under a stack of crop insurance binders was a small

black cross. Peace immediately came over me as I held onto the pile of

binders and looked at the cross. A gentle reminder that God is bigger

than my bookwork.

God is bigger than our bills, our health diagnosis, our personal

struggles, our grief or our shame. Whatever we are facing we must

always know that GOD IS BIGGER. When things start to feel

overwhelming, stop and lean into the Lord. He is bigger and He holds us

in the palm of His hand.
